"Say My Name, Say My Name!" Yes! Mo’Ne Davis becomes the first Little League player in history to be featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated!
She redefines “throwing like a girl” — and the world is cheering her for it. Mo’ne Davis, a 13-year-old pitcher from Philadelphia, is gaining fans — and striking fear in the competition — after becoming the first female player to pitch a shutout at the Little League World Series.

Right on! Much respect for her.

Reblog if your summer didn’t go anywhere near as planned

Expectation was greater than reality.

Gambino always takes me back to the great times I had back in the winter. There wasn’t a happier time.

I’ve felt the extreme need to keep myself occupied and busy.

I’m doing better. The act of staying busy every week is pulling through for me. I’m thankful for the three schools that I teach and the band camps they’ve all had back to back. I’m also thankful for the opportunity to finally go back to school this fall. It’s something I’ve been wanting for awhile and I’m excited to make it happen.

This is really going to help me. I will be busy out of my mind from working morning shifts, going to school in the afternoons, then teaching in the evenings from Monday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday will just be working and teaching. My only day off in the week will be Sunday. I think it’s pretty gnarly.

By the way, I bought myself an iPad mini today. One of my best investments I’ve made this summer. It’s going to be great for school considering I’m only taking two classes.

This will be a good semester.

"This is the part where they kinda fall in love a little bit. But I feel like anything we put here wouldn’t do justice to what really happens when a person you meet ends up in your life out of nowhere. But know that it’s exactly how you expect it to be, but also more. It’s a big inside joke that you can’t mess up and only one other person in the world gets.
It’s not a very pretty or perfect love, or even necessarily a romantic love. It doesn’t look cool.  It’s more like two helpless things in the wild, and one says “I’ll protect you”, and both parties know it’s a lie because there’s no way either of them can protect the other from anything. That lie is the best way to describe this love. That feeling of not having to say “I’m scared”, because you share the exact feelings without having words over or under complicate it, that’s worth more than protection. It’s a connection. The less alone. This is all we look for on earth.”
